In response to the growing adversity faced by communities in the Bay Area due to Covid and the California wildfires, we’ve provided below resources to help you prepare and respond.

We hope that you find our resource page helpful. Please note, Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco does not endorse the organizations listed below. Our goal is to simply provide the communities we serve with information about available resources in San Mateo, San Francisco, and Marin Counties.

This page is compiled of various resources located in our tri-county area and is not a complete list, please use this as a starting point and a reference for further opportunities. We have made every effort to ensure this is as accurate as possible and we will continue to update as quickly as we can in response to changes in information. Wildfire Resources

KQED.org – Provides a comprehensive outline of what to expect during an evacuation and how to prepare.

Northern California Red Cross – Provides 24-hour emergency aid for those recovering from a disaster.

CA.gov – Provides step by step instructions of how to get help after a natural disaster.

KQED.org – Gives details of what wildfire smoke is and how to protect yourself from it.

Ready.gov – Provides how to be prepared for and deal with house fires.

Marin County – Provides tips for wildfire preparedness for residents of Marin County.

San Mateo County Health – Provides tips on emergency preparedness for San Mateo residents.

Covid-19: Resources and Information

211 United Way Bay Area – A program of United Way that is the comprehensive information and referral service for San Francisco, San Mateo, Napa, Marin, Santa Clara, and Solano counties. They connect individuals with information about health and human services available to them.

The Labor & Workforce Development Agency (LWDA) – Provides resources for employers and workers. They offer guidance to help you determine what is best for you, your family, and your workplace.

Bayview Resources – This Google Doc was compiled by the Supervisor for San Francisco’s District 10, also known as the Bayview.

BMAGIC Resource Guide for the Bayview – Bayview Hunters Point Mobilization for Adolescent Growth in our Communities (BMAGIC) is a network of San Francisco neighborhood-based nonprofit organizations whose mission is to facilitate, coordinate and develop community resources and opportunities that support service providers and community members in Bayview Hunters Point. BMAGIC has developed an inclusive directory of services provided in Bayview Hunters Point for children, youth and families.

Marin County Community Resource Guide – Marin’s online search tool for information, services, and resources.

Marin County Resources – Community Action Marin publishes a comprehensive list of local resources for Marin residents. Compiled with special focus on programs serving those with low incomes, this guide plays a vital role in connecting people with services to help them thrive, and knitting a closer safety net of support among the various agencies serving Marin County.

Marin County Department of Health and Human Services – Marin County Public Health has created a telephone hotline for residents to call with questions or concerns related to COVID-19. Staff and Marin Medical Reserve Corps volunteers will take calls at 415-473-7191. Daily COVID-19 video update from Marin Health & Human Services.

San Francisco County Resources – Published by the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development as a housing resource.

San Mateo County Resources – A resource guide for residents of San Mateo County published by the Human Services Agency.
